In its current formation, the Delray String Quartet combines four extraordinary artists in their own right. Founding member and first violinist Mei Mei Luo is recognized as one of South Florida's finest violinists. As a soloist, she has performed theTchaikovsky, Mendlessohn and Bruch violin concertos. She is concertmaster of Orchestra Miami and The South Florida Philharmonic Orchestra, and has been a regular member of the Palm Beach Chamber Music Festival since 2000. Miss Luo has played as a member of the Philadelphia Concerto Soloists as well as an alternate for the Philadelphia Orchestra. Until its closing, she was the assistant concertmaster of the Florida Philharmonic Orchestra, and served as concertmaster for the final concert in 2003.

Tomas Cotik
Violin
Second violinist Tomas Cotik is internationally recognized as a chamber musician, soloist, orchestra musician and teacher. He has performed recently for two years as first violinist of the Harrington String Quartet, Concertmaster of the Amarillo Symphony and was on the faculty at West Texas A&M University. A CD to be released during 2010 includes both Mendelssohn Quintets with violist, James Dunham and produced by Blanton Alspaugh. As a chamber musician Mr. Cotik has collaborated with members from the Cleveland, Miami, Pro Arte and Vogler String Quartets among others. He has played recitals in Germany, Holland, Canada, USA, Argentina Japan and throughout the U.S. participating in more than 15 international music festivals.

RICHARD FLEISCHMAN, violist, has received numerous honors in his 25-year career, most notably the Windsor Prize, personally awarded to him by Leonard Bernstein, and the Steuermann Prize, the highest award bestowed by The Juilliard School. A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and the Juilliard School, Fleischman has appeared as viola and viola d'amore soloist with orchestras around the world. He has been Professor of Viola at Miami's New World School of the Arts since 1996. In addition to the DSQ, he currently performs as principal violist of the Miami City Ballet Orchestra and, since 1990, as principal violist of the Santa Fe Opera Orchestra. He is a former member of the San Francisco Symphony, performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra and was guest principal violist of the Hong Kong Philharmonic for several years.

As a recitalist and chamber musician, Jaffé has performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls around the world, including New York City, Washington, DC, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, London, Tokyo, and Ottawa. His performance was found to be "eloquent with pathos and tenderness" by the New London Day, which further commented on Jaffé's "superb intonation, robust sound, and overall musical command".
